The power of the Fifth Chakra goes beyond the person’s ordinary speaking or hearing abilities. A person centered in the Vishudda is said to be very articulate in vocalizing the “truth”. The person’s vocalization of truth is not derived from his intellectual knack but more from sources inspired by the “Kundalini”. When the source comes from so-called “Purified Kundalini”, the person becomes unattainable in fabricating truths and can result to the imbalance of the Vishudda.
According to meditation expertise and blogger Christiane Northupf, the Vishudda represents the person’s faith and higher level of communication. Northupf stated in his website that the Vishudda plays a significant role in discovering your inner truth, and how you’re going to use it in conveying a positive message to the world.
The organs associated with the Vishudda include the following: mouth, teeth, gums, thyroid, trachea, throat and the neck vertebrae. Emotional and spiritual issues can be susceptible in blocking the Vishudda’s energy. That is, when a person has lower speaking and hearing ability. Chances of physical dysfunctions can also happen such as joint problems, sore throat, gingivitis, swollen glands and laryngitis.
The Vishudda is usually followed by these exercises:
• Meditation – Meditate by connecting yourself to the Divine while chanting the “Om” mantra for several times. Chant it aloud for seconds while ensuring that the volume is gradually reduced. Chant the “Om” while taking the in-breath. Do the same for the out-breath as well. The “Om” stands for “Life’s Divine Source”, which serves as the world’s highest mantra to live by.
• Head rolls – This is effectively done by rotating your head slowly from right to back, followed by the left and front. Repeat it for a few times before rotating your head in the opposite direction.
• Shoulder exercise – This exercise is essential in releasing the tension from your shoulders as you lift them up to your ears. For a few seconds, feel the tension before dropping your shoulders down. After two minutes, roll your right shoulder to the front, followed by the left, right and back.
The Fifth Chakra or Vishudda can be both inspiring and detrimental to anyone, depending on how responsible you are in doing it. Kundalini Shakti, a traditional yoga expert, had the ability in sharing his profound influences bestowed upon the Vishudda. However, Shakti’s influence was found inappropriate among some political and religious leaders. His influential knack in pioneering the Vishudda can be easily scrutinized by false messengers, prophets and leaders. Contemporary gurus and yoga masters are using the Vishudda to clear their “Supreme Consciousness”.
